From a purely tactical point of view, I think Doc would find a place to lay low and observe. Do you want/need a roll?

Not at this moment. Laying low should be easy for now in the caos.

Our job is to disrupt the shipment, pretty sure time for bluffing is now over. I suggest Wook's prefered method of operation.....attack and try not to die......

@swrider Roll initiative or surprise attack?

Lets get things rolling. All players get a surprise round. Then we will start off by rolling initiative. There are three people in the control room besides the PCs. THe administrator and two people operating screens. Deepspacer has the two guards with him. The others have been hiding out so there are many people around them. They have been given a subtle heads up by DS so they know the ship near them is now their target. There are several security personnel there, but they are all focused on the fire and organizing the chaos.

As there are already alarms going off because of the explosion an extra one what make much difference. Would the difficulty of shooting someone in the head be anymore difficult at short range?

That would fall under the second type of aiming. One type you get an extra boost. On the second you add two setback dice but can target something specific. In this case if you managed a head shot, I would call it an instant kill. you do not get the boost and do get to setback dice, but that shouldn't really matter at close range. total dificulty would be minus any adjustments for talents
