How aboit scout troopers? Combines areal and ground combat, few characters and lots of versitility.
Re: Clone out of context.
That works for me. I'll work up a heavy trooper then. That way gunnery and the heavier weapons is covered.

Re: Clone out of context.
The Recruit tree will give all players weapon and combat skills. The only difference being the Talents and starting skill ranks.
Would the HWK-290 be an appropriate vehicle? I guess the GM would have to decide if we get dropped off on every mission or if we fly ourselves.

Re: Clone out of context.
As with my other aor games equipment and transportation will be assigened for the mission by your command. It may not always be the best equipment but it gives versitility.

Re: Clone out of context.
I like the scout idea it will work with my commando idea.
Re: Clone out of context.
So we have the recruit specialization and then buy another one? For example the Soldier Medic.

Re: Clone out of context.
Ah, so scout troopers with vehicle/ship use and ground use? I could go with that. I looked at Infiltrator but am thinking it's nearly all a melee build. I think I am going with the Squadron Commander. He can Boost with Leadership, some vehicle skills, and Quick Strike. His Coercion and Cool skills could come in useful.
Do we all have numerical names or short, alphabetic names like 'Rex'?
No, you have a base Career/Spec and then get Recruit for free as a Clone (inbred-training).by kanila » Sat Feb 03, 2018 10:24 pm

Re: Clone out of context.
Deep is right about the spec.
Every clone has a numeric identifier most start with ct. They usually choose or are given nicknames in training. The clone Fives had a nuner which ended in all fives. Echo always repeatex their orders or the regs. Heavy was always usi g heavy weapons and depressing etc...

Re: Clone out of context.
Ok so basic training montage where Swrider gives us nicknames??? Just kidding.
But in all seriousness I'll take the medic if no one wants it. How long is a clones number usually? Just trying to think up a good way to make one up.

Re: Clone out of context.
Starting Credits? Equipment? Armor? Earned XP? Any variations on that? How are we starting off?
Re: Clone out of context.
Credits wont be used. Thinhs will be issued food paid for etc. Equipment is what would be available to a clone. Choose a layout of equipment which fits your build. One layout. So foot soldier, sniper, heavy weapon, medic and take what you think they would have. Rememver clones carry all their gear so that limits you.
No earned xp. This will be one of the first battles of the war. You will be involved in.
Armor is laminate with the camoflage mod( i believe there is one)

Re: Clone out of context.
Cool! Something different!
So, a heavy could start with some big weaponry, eh! Scouts might get a pistol and rifle with scope. Cool!

Re: Clone out of context.
If you look on Wookieepedia there is a fairly decent amount of info about clones. There was a couple "CC" (Clone Commander) designations available as well.swrider wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 3:49 amKnown clone of the 501st.

I do question the "TK" designation though. I don't think the were used until the end of the war and the Storm Trooper name began use.
Re: Clone out of context.
I don't have my books in front of me, but it's there a difference between Corillian Humans and Mandolorian Humans? And if so which one are we using? I'm guessing Mando.

Re: Clone out of context.
Mandos get 10 fewer xp (100) but get 1R combat skill or 2 R Knowledge skills.
But, I think we are just clones. Humans 110 xp, 2 non-career ranks, plus the Recruit Spec for free. Is that right, Rider?

Trooper Gear
SCOUT TROOPER
Equipment: light blaster pistol or blaster sniper rifle with scope, one frag grenade, scout trooper armor, utility belt, extra reloads
STORM TROOPER
Equipment: blaster rifle, vibroknife, 2 frag grenades, stormtrooper armor, utility belt, extra reloads, light repeating blaster with sling
I don't have a Clone Era NPC list to pull from.

Meant to note this earlier. There are two different mods for camouflage in the attachments. I went with the passive foliage mod, although there is an optical mod which changes is more chameleon-like.
Re: Clone out of context.
Its the millitary everything is built by the lowest bidder. The cheaper one whih i imagibe is te passive system

Re: Clone out of context.
True, but just like in real life the camo job has to be changed for each different type of terrain, but in the SW universe they have a much larger variety of terrains. Lots of different colors!
